Environmental labels are, among others, the most used tools to measure sustainability in terms of performance of a product and of the company that produces it; as a matter of fact, “is the conversion of strategies and processes that generate sustainable products, not the other way around”.
This statement highlights how the sustainability transition is an endogenous and transversal process.
Sustainability certifications are declarations issued on a voluntary basis in the light of accredited standards, to communicate transparency in the production processes and to guarantee compliance with ESG parameters.

Le etichettature ambientali sono tra gli strumenti più utilizzati per misurare non solo la performance di sostenibilità di un prodotto, ma altresì dell’azienda che lo produce, ed infatti “è la conversione delle strategie e dei processi a generare prodotti sostenibili, non il contrario ”1.
Tale affermazione evidenzia come la transizione di sostenibilità sia un processo endogeno e trasversale.
Le certificazioni di sostenibilità sono dichiarazioni rilasciate su base volontaria alla luce di standard accreditati, al fine di comunicare verso l’esterno la trasparenza dei processi produttivi e il rispetto di parametri ESG.
