Inclusion
The Thinking Watermill Society supports inclusion and diversity
“Inclusion is at the heart of all successful organisations for me. Being inclusive provides a full and complete view of things with nothing being obscured or obfuscated. Without this inclusivity, organisations are unlikely to be completely successful or agile in anticipating and responding long term to ups and downs, economic or otherwise. Ultimately, without being inclusive, the data set validating your growth and excellence will be in effect an illusion. And now is very much the time to have solid ground to move forward on.”
“There’s a saying that goes “Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance”.
I see Inclusion as the freedom to claim with confidence one’s place in the world, without the possibility of it being taken away at any moment, beyond the trends of tokenization. Because Diversity is meaningless when not allowed to have a voice.
For me, Inclusion is about more than just stating the equality of all people: it is a concept that stems from the understanding that we are not all equal yet, we go through very broad and different life paths, and as such we all deserve to share our own history.”
